Molex Introduces Standardized Antennas to General Market

Compact 2.4 GHz ISM band antenna features innovative Laser Direct Structuring Technology for optimum flexibility and geometric design freedom. Molex has released a new standard antenna for applications using the 2.4 GHz ISM (industrial, scientific and medical) band and Wi-Fi. The 2.4 GHz band antenna is the first release in a series of Molex standard antennas designed for the industrial, consumer, medical and automotive markets. Based on diverse manufacturing and RF technologies, Molex standard antennas offer high performance and ease of integration for demanding wireless applications.

DF50 Series, 1mm Pitch Connector from Hirose with Robust Locking Mechanism

The DF50 range consists of single row and double row compact receptacles and headers that have been designed with space saving and durability in mind for industrial applications needing more strength and reliability. The vertical housing and fine pitch of 1mm allow for maximum space saving on the board which reduces the mounting area needed. The metal lock provides a consistent and positive tactile click even with repetitive mating, this ensures the connector is fully engaged guaranteeing complete electrical and mechanical connection. The lock is centred on the housing to avoid uneven locking and cable entanglement which is common with side locks.

Murata achieves 200% power density increase with 3W DC-DC in a 2W package

Murata Power Solutions continues its drive towards higher power density and efficiency with the MEE3 series of single output, 3 Watt, ultra-compact DC/DC converters suitable for a wide range of industrial and telecommunications applications. Whereas most 3 Watt DC-DC converters are manufactured in a DIP24 (dual-in-line 24 pin) package, the MEE3 series is supplied in a SIP4 (single-in-line 4 pin) package. This equates to an amazing 200% increase in power density - from 0.9 to 2.7 Watts per cubic cm! 5Vdc and 12Vdc input versions are available with 5, 9, 12 or 15Vdc output options.
